Virtual Keyboard

Requirements

Design and development of a virtual QWERTY keyboard widget to be used with any Qt application. This widget should be called from a separate Qt application and input widgets should receive data from this keyboard on mouse clicks.

System Overview

Virtual keyboard is a widget behaving exactly as a keyboard for any input using mouse clicks. It is a QWERTY keyboard. It can be used as a separate widget within any Qt application. Its transparency can be adjusted to set input widget’s visibility. It is very useful for entering secure data or on Tablet PCs.

Implementation

1. GUI design looking exactly like a QWERTY keyboard.
2. Caps and Shift implementation.
3. Specific handling of special keys like function keys, arrow keys, insert, home etc.
4. Seamless integration with parent application.
