Embitel Empowers Future Innovators at PES University’s Terrathon 5.0
Innovation does not start in boardrooms.
It starts with curiosity, the kind that keeps young engineers awake for 24 hours straight, coding, dreaming, and solving problems that could change the world.
That spirit came alive at Terrathon 5.0, a flagship hackathon by PES University’s Club called The Changemakers’ Society. The event was held on October 25–26, 2025, at their Bengaluru campus. And this year, Embitel Technologies was proud to be a part of it, not just as a Partner/Sponsor, but as a mentor, motivator, and believer in the power of new-generation talent.
A 24-Hour Marathon of Ideas, Innovation, and Impact
This event brought together 120 participants across 30 shortlisted teams, chosen from over 308 student registrations. The energy was electric as students explored themes such as:
- The Agentic AI Revolution
- Generative AI & the Creator Economy
- Web3 & the Decentralised Economy
- Next-Gen FinTech & Financial Inclusion
- Next-Gen Web Experiences
- The Future of Work & Education
“We saw more than coding; we saw young minds creating the future. Embitel is proud to support communities where bright ideas evolve into real-world innovations,” says Pratap Simha, President, CARIAD.
Mentorship That Mattered
During the 24-hour hackathon, Embitel mentors supported participants by guiding them to ask the right questions instead of giving direct answers. They encouraged every team to think beyond technology and focus on the real impact of their ideas.
Mentors made them ponder, “What real problem does this solve?”, “How will this grow in the future?”, and “What will make users love this?”.
This mix of guidance and curiosity helped shape Terrathon 5.0 into a space where ideas turned into meaningful, practical solutions.
Innovation Meets Evaluation
The top 10 teams reached the final round, where they presented their prototypes to a panel of esteemed judges – Muzibour Rehman, Balamanikandan M, Dibendu Rudra Sharma.
The judges evaluated projects based on functionality, innovation, scalability, and user experience. What stood out were not just polished prototypes but bold thinking – solutions that were designed with empathy, precision, and purpose.
The winners took home cash prizes of ₹25,000, ₹15,000, and ₹10,000. But the real win was the confidence, collaboration, and community that everyone gained along the way.
Building the Next Generation of Changemakers
For Embitel, Terrathon 5.0 was more than just a technology event. It was about empowerment.
It was about helping students see that innovation does not always need permission; it just needs a platform.
“The passion we saw at Terrathon 5.0 reminds us why mentorship matters. Our role as a tech company is not only to build smarter systems but to inspire smarter thinking, and these students proved just how limitless that can be,” Said Muzibour Rehman, Chief of Technical Staff, CARIAD.
Embitel will continue to support and collaborate with universities, innovators, and communities that believe in technology with purpose, thereby nurturing the next wave of engineers, thinkers, and changemakers.
Because when we empower the next generation, we help build better technology and a better tomorrow.
