    But it was quickly surpassed by CDs in the 1990s.

This was also the time when they started using CDs to play music while driving. CDs were better than cassette tapes as they were more durable and incredibly compact.

When Google introduced Android Automotive OS, a dedicated version of Android OS for automotive applications, connectivity options for users changed significantly. The most popular in-car infotainment apps are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Both these apps have similar functionalities. For example, when the Android Auto app on the user’s mobile phone is connected with the Android Auto app on the car, it pairs the phone with the car.
