The CARIAD Business Unit of Bengaluru-based Embitel now operates as CARIAD India, with its 400-member team supporting multiple tech projects for Volkswagen Group’s automotive software company, CARIAD.

The rebranding to CARIAD India does not alter the ownership or legal status of Embitel Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. – which continues to be the legal entity. Embitel remains a subsidiary of the diconium group and, thus part of Volkswagen Group Sales IT.

As of mid-2024, Embitel has solidified its integration into the global Volkswagen Group’s network while maintaining its operational independence. By strengthening its synergies with the Volkswagen Group’s IT division, Embitel is poised for exponential growth, leveraging these partnerships to drive forward its ambitious vision.

With an aim to expand its workforce to 4,000 employees by 2030, Embitel is ramping up recruitment across its locations in Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Coimbatore. Currently, at 1,000 employees, the company is focused on scaling its operations to meet the demands of a growing global client base.
